why do so many people out there think that asians only refer to people from china,korea or japan.

YES!!!! And Caucasians born in the Congo are AFRICAN!!!!
No one disputes these things. IN the US when we refer to Chinese as Asians its to denote an ethnic group. Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Cambodian, Laotian, and Taiwanese are very similar ethnically in America I guess so they are all called ASIAN!!!
Indians from India are simply known as Indians. Arabs and Persians are called Arabs or Arab and Persian.
Its just how we classify. Its not perfect. Like Tiger Woods is called black but his mama is Korean.
In England Indians, Persians, and Arabs are called Asians and Chinese, etc are Oriental.
In America I am African American...in Long Island The Bahamas I am Coloured in England I am Black.
Its not meant to offend and its not an exact science, its just a simple way of classification thats all.

Please do not believe anyone that says that Native people migrated here.
There is much more evidence to disprove the land bridge theory than to prove it. It is False information and it is aimed at oppressing Native people and making colonizers feel better for their actions.
Native people have creation stories much like Christians have their creation story told in the Bible. You do not have to believe in this but there is more evidence for the Native's version of events than there is for migration.
Please read Red Earth White Lies by Vine Deloria Jr. It will sheld light on this question.
And let me say one more time: People who believe the land bridge theory are seriously ignorant and need to go back to their science and figure out the truth, there is little to no scientific or other evidence to back this up. Please let us be educated!!

Indians are considered Middle Eastern. You know like Pakistanis, Palestenians, Iraqis.
Originally Indian because they are from India.

in britain, people of indian/pakistani/iraqi descent are referred to asians, whilst in america that term refers to those of east asian origin, thai, indonesian, japanese, chinese, korean
