My HP pavillion notebook within the 1yr warranty period was sent to canadian service center with overheating issues. They changed the Fan unit and the Mother board. When I recieved the machine I was surprised that they have not replaced the original mother board of Hp Pavillion since they confirmed they don't have in stock and is on back order ,but replaced it with a Compaq Presario motherboard. Now when I restart my machine it shows a Compaque logo ,the help center page shows it is a compaque Presario total care page they have flashed the BIOS to make it look llike Pavillion removed the Product no..
I had to send the machine to them 3 times and it is almost 6 weeks now . They have eaten up my warranty of 6 weeks although I was told they will repair within 3-5 days.Despite complaints to repair center, arguing with case manager ,writing to CEO about the whole issue , they don't care and don't reply. Please suggest what should I do?Is a legal notice only option? Thanks

that does suck. if it was in the USA, then all you would is turn them in to the better business burea. since in canada, you might ask a lawer about sending them some sort of legal paper about sueing them. that will get their attension and also publish something in the news paper. that will really get them..good luck...
