Well, he's probably bi-sexual, it's up to her if she wants to like someone like that. I personally wouldn't be able to deal with it. I don't think he's changed, he may just like her right now, and be commited, but he'll still be checking out dudes!

Sexual identity is far from being as clear-cut as parties on both sides of the debate make it out to be.
Some people live a long time being specifically attracted to one gender (or gender identity) to "suddenly" find themselves attracted to or in love with someone of the other gender. This just proves that love truly is gender-blind. Especially considering "Who defines love?"
So, there is no solid yes or no to your question. It may be that the boyfriend has found an exception in his girlfriend (as in he honestly loves her), he's simply bisexual (being bisexual does NOT equal fencesitting or being a player), or someone (or several people) are denying the truth.
What does this all mean? I doubt it's the answer you really were looking for, but the best thing is for this couple to work out things for themselves, for better or worse. Life is full of many kinds of relationships and sometimes the ones that are "negative" or "crazy" prove to be the best learning experiences.
In reference to the extra details, you may want to encourage your friend to cool off on giving you details. It's possible to know too much about a person, especially one you're not in a serious relationship with yourself. ;)
Just in case you were including my advice, it's not so much "none of your business" as it's something she has to figure out on her own.

And you know he is gay because he won't sleep with you? Or...
Change, no. Adapt to the straight life style, yes and be miserable.
Your girlfriend made a choice. Let her and the young man decide what they are going to do with their lives.

Anything is possible. Not trying to be rude, but it's really an issue between the two of them; best to stay out of it. She knows about the situation, and the rest is up to her to decide.

A gay guy can go straight, while it is rare it does occur. I have seen this happen one time in my lifetime, quite a challenge.

There have been cases of change, but I would say usually not. If I was her I would not still be dating him.

Guys can be not gay. My ex-step dad after he and my mom divorced... went gay... and now is he isn't gay.
I guess it is a choice after all.
