This will add detail to a desert nature scene I am creating.

It would be illegal to kill one in most of its range, being the state bird in Arizona and all, so you would be hard put to find one.

You can however make one from paper mache and using domestic turkey feathers, or pheasant feathers, that would be a lot easier to come by, Hot glue is an excellent way to attach them. You could probably use domestic chicken feet as they are very similar. Very few people know what a real roadrunner looks like, knowing only the Coyote & Roadrunner version anyway.

An atternative would be to model one entirely in a paper mache, or other newer plastic sculpture material
