Nobody wears flaired jeans anymore, you should try going for bootcut, the flatter everyone and give a little room at the bottom of the leg. Your inseam should be no more than 1 inch longer than your actual inseam, which is the measurement from the bottom of your crotch to the bottom of your foot.

I'm not exactly replying to your question, as it has already been answered.
In response to flair jeans being out of style, wear what you like... if it's in that's wonderful. If not, you like it and that's what should matter first.
Also, flairs are still being worn, just mostly by teenagers and younger adults.
