The best way to predict the future is to invent it. Alan Kay

It would be fabulous to think that it will be really space age, however, I don't we are advanced as that, at least not for another few thousand years!!! I think that technology will obviously come on in leaps and bounds (soon we will be walking round with mobile phones that are also laptop computers, banks, t.vs, dvds, ipods, microwave ovens etc etc all in a gadget the size of a babies hand!!!)

This is not an easy question to answer. You should be More specific. But generally you should think how the global weather changes will effect people, how the energy/petroleum problems would effect in economy, transportation and industrial efficiency. Wars on the other hand will decrease. That is because to wage a war you need engine power. The electrical engines will be less efficient to help human soldiers. So the armies will be more cautious when they are going to start a war. And also their governments.
On the other hand problems with China and Africa may change the world's economy to the worse. They use cheap labor with no standards. This is very bad because it influences the research and helps steeling "ideas and products patents". Plus it destroys free economy because, especially with China, it is a communist regime on the inside and a capitalistic force on the outside. It can take money but it doesn't give back. Finally some professions are in big crisis in Europe and America (north and south). That is because they can not be competitive to the Chinese labor. But they still make research and produce patents for their products. Chinese just steel them, they also reduce quality. That is why they are competitive. That is a competition that world doesn't need.

If there is much time left for any future, I wonder myself, for it can only get worse than what it really is now, according to what is happening day after day. I am afraid to say it is the truth and who have eyes to see they should see it and acknowledge, for it is the fact.

Unless people wake up and realize what is happening in the world, not just their part of it, the future is going to be pretty crappy...

More machines to do the work for us. We will work harder to make those machines. On the positive side we will have more time for recreation.
