Just be glad you don't get as much government as you pay for.

Please remember under the democratic plan, if you make more than the government definition of being poor you are a rich person. So everyone's taxes will go up.

If the percentage is the same, taxing $30K is not the same as taxing $3 Million. So at 10% the $30K person will pay $3K. On $3 million it is $300K. So the people who have a large income pay a much larger share of the taxes. I think the top 50% of wage earners pay about 90% of all taxes. In the event of a tax cut, the same hold true.

So don't believe the tax the rich crap that the democrats preach.

They consider people who can pay their bills and work hard to have a future for themselves as the rich they want to tax. They would not need to raise taxes if they had not convinced a nation of people to have all the children they want at the governments expense. All those billionaires what do they care they have so much they won't miss it. It is the hard working people it will affect next thing you know we will be having to ask the government for a handout. Maybe that is what they are trying to do take everything we make and ration it back to us as they see fit.

LOL, this reminds me of one of the funniest things about the 2004 election. John Kerry proposed a new tax on anyone making more than $200k per year. Since he is a multi-millionaire, everyone assumed he was taxing himself. However, as a senator, his salary is only $168k per year. All of the rest of his fortune is in existing assets, not income, so would not be taxed. So he was proposing a "tax on the rich", yet he was a multi-millionaire and would not be subject to the tax. Their hypocrisy is glaring to anyone that pays attention.

Well Soros made all his money by using off shore accounts, he is an expert at getting out of paying taxes, he is not even American, but he wants to dictate at how Americans live. He will do anything he can to turn this great country into liberal jelly.

It's an income tax, not a wealth tax. You accumulate wealth by increasing your income and saving and investing it. The graduated income tax punishes you for doing this. They want to keep people from BECOMING wealthy because if you're wealthy, you're not in jeopardy of becoming financially dependent upon government largesse, thus the promise of largesse won't buy your vote.

What people don't seem to understand is that most "lower income people" are middle and higher income people to-be. Not all but most.

They like making laws thinking their helping smaller business not knowing that their interference with free trade has helped form many corporations and puts competition down the drain. Also they have made it harder for smaller businesses to compete with excessive tax raises and minimal wage increases. They're idiots.

Because democratic voters primarily are minorities and lower income people. And you don't tax YOUR voters, you tax the ones that vote for the other side.

(That's a gross oversimplification, of course, but it works for this explanation).
