No, it is not!
As someone else has said it's a coincidence.
I'm a therapist and I work with people who have been raped or traumatised in other ways.
Rapists are monsters who destroy lives.
I help people rebuild them.
To have someone suggest that there is something bad about therapists simply because of a spelling coincidence is appalling.

Have you ever seen "Arrested Development?" Tobias (a character on the show) was at one point licensed to be both an Analyst, and a Therapist. He combined those occupations on his business card to be an Analrapist.

Come on, be original, and have the guts to own up to the fact that this observation was not yours, but an old Benny Hill sight gag.

what I find interesting is how you are going to vote on best answer because then we will see what perhaps is involved in being a therapist - I think not!

well if you think about it
''the'' as in a noun.... singal person, i can be a male or female for that matter
''rapist'' as in pro-noun, or is it a verb?, a person in action anyways.
it makes sence, the fact is they rape your mind mentally, making sure they get every singal detail from start to finish, and from then on he/she knows more about you then you do yourself, they know how to analize, twist, strech, and bend your feelings to in terms for us to understand, and agree on.
i kinda like hipnosise, but you arnt put to sleep or hipnotized.
they just know how to abuse us to us to abuse our minds to let them in
they are evil in so many good ways its just sickning
get it
good luck
