there probably has been a show like that, but what i mean is something big......id love to see one for drummers too.

Seems like a good idea, but I don't think it would fly on network tv. This is something better for MTV, MTV2, VH1, or the like. On one of those channels, I think it would go over really well.

Yeah that would be somthing i would definitely watch!
But i doubt they'd do it coz for the auditions n all everyone would get in coz you cant go for audition for an American Idol guitarist (or musical instrument) competiton if you can't play the guitar (or any a musical instument for that matter)

Honestly, I'd rather see an "American Songwriter" and let them sing their own songs, and play their own instruments, and give them backup bands.
