Macho a**hole weight lifters quite often talk "funny" if you are not a weight lifter. Blacks talk "funny" if you are not black. People from India talk "funny" if you are not from India. Get the picture???

Many gay men speak just as many straight men. Some straight men speak "funny" also.
Some gay men just speak as their voice comes out of their mouth and don't worry about making it sound more like what our society thinks a man should sound like.
What does a man's voice sound like really as there is such a wide range even in the what is considered masculine range.

Why do some bigots type and punctuate "funny," and have bad grammar?
This is yet another example of a discriminatory stereotype. You can recognize such hate speech in the pattern "All [group] are [imagined characteristic]. . . ." What such items primarily display is the ignorance of the source.

I suppose you mean the sterotypical lisp. I hope you realize not every gay man in the world has a lisp, and some straight me have one. Examples: Straight man with high voice: Mike Tyson....gay man with masculine voice: Rock Hudson.

Same reason why bikers get tattoos, and people dress up like cowboys. They want to fit in with a group and acting like the stereotype is easier than having to develop your own personality.
