Use bazooka scanner. It'll scan for all worms and spyware and then tell you what the procedure is to remove each one. Go to download.com and search for bazooka scanner.

Try uninstalling and reinstalling your antivirus software and updating it ASAP. Do this in Safe Mode too as it may prevent some of the virus' functionality. Some virus try to cripple AV, and can be quite successful at doing so.

It is better to leave system restore off, because sometimes it can copy a virus to the restore data, where antivirus won't pick it up.

If you still have the virus, you should call a computer specialist straight away. They have special programs to clean your computer. But, depending on what type of virus it is, it may have done serious damage to your system. You may have to format and re-install.
