I answered a question earlier about an abortion. Everyone is sticking up for the 'poor' women who got pregnant. I have been given 5 thumbs down for my answer so far. Does anyone else see my opinion and think it is right? What about the poor harmless defenceless baby in all this. Please see the link to my answer.

It's so sad to see that this is what our counrty has come to. Nobody seems to think that what they're doing is wrong and they can just make problems go away with out facing them.
It's so much easier in the first place for all involved if these girls keep their legs crossed and second, if they take that leap, then why the heck don't they think they're responsible for that action.
Those babies didn't ask to be concived and certainly not to be killed. It's just like getting a slap on the wrist because you couldn't control your hormones long enough to keep from getting pregnant.
It is sad because eventually it does catch up to the woman and it hurts everyone involved.
Abortion is murder! People are nicer to animals!

No, not at all. It's not your baby and it's not your life so what gives you the right to judge this person when you know little about them and their circumstances. Some babies are better off never being born I am sorry to say. What good is it to society when an unfit mother has a child that has a horrible upbringing and ends up being a drain on society b/c they didn't have a good family life? Yes it would be nice if we could put all the unwanted babies in nice middle class homes and they all would have nice upbringings. But that's not reality, many but not all unwanted children get stuck in sh*tty foster homes or spend their childhood in an orphanage. Maybe by her not having that child she is giving herself a chance to become financially stable and have another child with a decent father and therefor bring a child into this world that has a good life. Her life could have been a lot worse if she had the unwanted child.
Also when people have an abortion they abort a FETUS not a baby. Several scientific studies have shown that fetuses do not feel pain very late into a pregnancy. Also don't bother with your rhetoric and talking about "killing babies" b/c that crap just makes you look like some extremists and not a sensible person that actually listens to what other people have to say. Using words like that doesnt help your point of view b/c you are trying to make it an emotional debate rather than a rational one.
You talk about the baby, but what about the mother? She has to think about herself and what's best for her and also about the baby and having the baby could have been very bad for BOTH of them depending on her circumstances.
You got all of those thumbs down b/c most people did not agree with you. Why don't anti-abortion activists get that through their head that the majority of this country and the Supreme Court supports a woman's right to choose? If you don't agree with pro-choice then that's fine and your decision, but keep it to yourself. You are trying to dictate what other people that you do not know should do with their life b/c YOU think you know what is best for them. It's their life and their decision and although you may not agree it's not your life or business. Do you like it when people try to tell you how to live your life and what values you should have based on their personal opinions?? B/c if you don't then you shouldn't do it to other people.

You have most likely been given the thumbs down, as the girl asked for help, not judgement and to be condemned. Which is what you were doing with your answer. However, I can see why you feel so strongly about this, I have had an abortion but I would never do so again, wish I had never done it, and I would most certainly not advise anyone to have one. But nor would I condemn anyone for making the same mistake I did. Nothing is ever going to stop abortions from taking place, however, I believe if all high school children were made to watch the silent scream, there would be a lot less abortions taking place. Had I watched it before my abortion, instead of being told 'it' was just a clump of cells, then I would undoubtedly stood up for myself and kept my child. People need to be made aware of what they are really doing, and the real guilt and depression that often kicks in after an abortion.

i'm particularly torn. I do have faith abortion ought to be criminal, a hundred% criminal. human beings might nevertheless get abortions in the event that they have been unlawful, it'd purely be completed in a much extra risky way. I needless to say do no longer trust abortion as a start administration technique - yet i won't be able to think of many woman might. it relatively is a great, terrible selection, and that i think of very few women folk might circulate by means of with it devoid of questioning it by means of very thoroughly. I do question how a techniques into being pregnant a woman can get an abortion, I mean at a undeniable element it relatively isn't any longer a pile of tissue - there's a infant in there. i do no longer understand relating to the U.S., yet right here you may get an abortion at ANY element. I ought to confess I disagree with that except the region is amazingly lifestyles threatening for mom & infant. So lastly i'm professional-selection, I purely wish i will have faith humanity sufficient to appreciate whilst an abortion is suited & whilst it purely isn't.

Don't let all those thumbs down bother you. I ALWAYS get a ton of thumbs down when I answer abortion questions. One person even said they reported me because they thought my sharing my oppinion about abortion was wrong lol. It is horrible that people so nonchalantly a for ripping a precious little child limb from limb violently. www.silentscream.org. That site has a very good video and explanation of just what it is that happens in an abortion. It actually has footage of a sonogram while an abortion is being preformed on an 11 week old fetus. The doctor who preformed this abortion never did another abortion again after viewing the footage. The femanist who held the camera during the procedure never again mantioned abortions after she saw it. I couldn't actually watch the whole thing all the way through because I am 8 months pregnant and my emotional state is already teetering, but what I did what was just terrible! It is sooooo very sad that these precious little children have to die like this just because someone who couldn't be bothered to carry the child they made to term and give it up for adoption or raise it. If you don't want to suffer the concequences keep your legs shut! OK... I may have went off on a bit of a rant....
Alrighty people, bring on the thumbs down! I can take it! I will fear no thumbs down as I walk through the valley of the murderers.
oh and while I'm at it, I STORNGLY feel that if you have an abortion you have no right later in life to complain if you have trouble concieving. If you kill a baby, you don't have the right to decide you want one later. If the world were just women who got abotions would be sterilized (possible exception would be rape). Wait... then again, if the world were just...there would be no such thing as an abortion.

You got the thumbs down in your last answer because you were nasty.
It may be your belief that people don't have abortions but there is no need to be nasty about it - which is what you were.
If you believe in what you are writing why are you so bothered about whether you get the thumbs down. I don't care if i get thumbs down for saying that what you put was wrong. I still believe it!
Perhaps next time be a little nicer when someone is facing a hardship - whether you think what they have done is right or wrong!

I see your point of view, but just because you disagree with what she has done doesn't give you the right to make her feel even worse. Do you really believe that this woman has gone through this and come out totally unscathed? What kind of person cannot see that she is clearly hurting?
Have a little common sense and use your intelligence, for God's sake. Whether or not you agree with what she said, that woman was asking for help, not for a lecture. Do you think she ISN'T suffering now?
Many people seem to be against abortion in all circumstances without exception. Fair enough if that's your personal opinion, but let me ask you this hypothetical question.
If a young girl is raped, by her father or some other male relative, and becomes pregnant as a result of that, are you seriously telling me you would make her go through with the pregnancy?
Before anyone starts screeching at me, this sort of thing does happen, so it's a perfectly fair and sensible question.
Funny how I never get any answers to this question from the anti-abortion witch hunters. Get off your high horse and face reality. You got thumbs down because you were rude, pompous, zealous, and altogether nasty. Sticking up for your beliefs is great - that's not what you were doing, you were simply putting the boot in to someone who was at their lowest ebb. You should be ashamed.
Who are you to judge her? NOBODY!

First, let me start by saying that I have never had an abortion and I don't condone anyone having an abortion. On the other hand, the other women on this site are not my responsibility but my body is. What I choose to do with it, ultimately has to begin and end with me. That is why I say that before you get to the point where you have to think about getting an abortion, why not do what you are supposed to do as a responsible, mature adult, and use protection. What ever happened to taking care of yourself. It's not rocket science ladies! If you don't want to have a baby, then get protection! Did you think that you would beat your body or fake it out, there is no such thing. NO PROTECTION AND YOU WILL GET PREGNANT! It is that simple.

well.....
i can see where you are coming from, but at the same time....
just to play devil's advocate
there are always the circumstances of getting raped and things like that.
and i am not saying that having an abortion is good, but honestly, have you been in that position and truely decided what you wanted to do. i know that i have always said that i would never want an abortion, but i have thought the craziest things when i thought that i was pregnant.
and also, even if i do agree with what you said, i don't know if you should have said it for an answer, this girl is coming for help, and is obviously disappointed she made this decision, bashing on her wont make it any better, but yeah.....

did u think to concider the surounding details? like i kno someone who had an abortion because if she went thru with the pregnancy she'd die n prob the baby too, or women who have been raped, its bad enuf what they've been thru without having to look a baby who's father abused her in the eyes. i agree that women who hav an abortion just cuz they can is wrong. but most women really think very long and hard about it. its scarey bringing a child into the world. and although most of us may feel on top of the world, there are others who feel so low, and would give the child no chance in life, or think they may pass on a gentic disease that go and hav an abortion.
look at your body now...and then think of it before u had children. i'm only 6 months gone and already i don't like whats happening here! i look fat, feel fat, and can't do many things that i used to be able to do, these can all be real huge issues to some people.
yes, have ur point of view, but you should never call a woman a murderer just because she had an abortion. u kno nothing of the womens thoughts or medical conditions and its not your right 2 hound women into feeling worse than they already do.
you are a disgusting human being!! can't u see that poor woman was suffering enough as it was, withought u sticking ur self centered comments around. so u REALLY think women who don't want their baby because, like the poor women u hounded, they took into account their life should b forced to hav them!? wow...can tell u REALLY like human rights. i think sum1 suld take away everything u hold near n dear, ur cussy lifestyle, ur money, ur house, put u in a council estate or trailer park and see how u like it when u get pregnant! u'd soon change ur tune. i can't believe what u said to that woman. u suld b ashamed!

From the looks of it, anyone who hasn't had an abortion got at least one thumbs down. I tried to show and offer comfort for this lass, even though I'm 100% pro-life regardless, but still I put my thoughts and feelings to one side to try and help someone through the grieving process, to recieve thumbs down too. Some people don't seem to be too open minded and forget that everyone no matter of views, opinions, race, creed & colour are allowed thier views and opinions on Yahoo!
