Should women be allowed as astronauts?

It seems that some of the old fears about women being too emotional for certain jobs may be true. Pre-menapausal women have PMS. menapausal women are unstable during the change. . post-menapausal women are too old, but at least more stable.
I am sorry if I spelled menapausal wrong. it looks wrong to me but I cannot figure any better way. My spellcheck seems to go on and on and never end)
obviously I am concerned about the recent incident with the whacked out astronaut and the killing paraphenalia she traveled across america with in disguise and her pepperspray attack on another woman due to jealousy. I am glad she did not crack up on a flight into space and try to cut the cord or something on another astronaut. NASA.. check out the psych profile of these people more please, or else ban woman.

GOSH FOLKS, I am only asking a simple question. I am not trying to start a gender war. if you think the answer is yes, just say so, do not atatck me for bringing up what is on the minds of everyone in America. That seems a bit too emotional. try being rational. all the examples ( Hitler etc) given are a bit extreme. Whenever you have to bring up Hitler to win an argument, you have lost. Anyway, Hitler, had a wierd Mom that messed him up bad so it all goes back to that. Same with all the psychos you gals mentioned. I have an open mind and asked a serious question. if the answer is yes, then try to come up with some reasons other than "you're one too" OK gals? You argue like my wife. go straight for the insult.

No, Women can't be astronauts it's a man's job to go into space. Women don't have the physical capacity as men. Being an astronaut is tough, And what's a women gonna do uo there nag us all day.

Go figure, one simple incident with one woman, and you think it should change the whole world. We'll lets see, The world thinks OJ simpson (a Man, killed his wife, so should every man in the world have to suffer the affects of his stupidity, and let's say that only women should be able to enjoy the football profession. Or lets see, Charles Manson, A man, went on a killing spree, cross country, but does that mean that every man should not get to drive cars. OK one more, lets use Hitler, who ran a country and dominated it with fear or Saddam for that fact, and killed mass amounts of people, does that mean that only women should dictate the country.

Some men get "emotional" just like women. And not all women get "emotional" during P.M.S. You are making a blanket statement due to the actions of one person.

Also, if you check the news, NASA did do a psychological evaluation of the woman. Everything checked out fine, and that is what is really puzzling to them.

Sure, why not? They are as capable as their male counterparts.. That woman had some personal demons she had to deal with. Isolated incident.. How many male leaders past and present are not qualified to run a country? Hitler was one who comes to mind.. I could name a few Presidents and mayors of cities here in the U.S. (JD.. excellent answer!)
