I don't actually know but where I live there was an add one time saying members of the post office started at 18 an hour.
However they didn't mention specific positions.
Also you had to take a test and Veterans received preference.

When you are working as a sub for a regular (TRC- temporary rural carrier) and you haven't taken the postal exam, then it's $13/hr. When you take and pass the exam (>70) your manager can switch you to an RCA (rural carrier associate) and you get $17.51/hr.
