I recommend one of three things:

1. Go out with other single people and have some fun. You can go have fun and not be with a couple. It is not like you're the only single person in the world! It is also not like you HAVE to be part of a couple to be a healthy, fun-loving person.

2. Do what you always do. You should not have to define yourself based on Valentine's Day. If you are not with someone now, there is no reason for the day to be special. Don't let it get you down, and do whatever you feel like.

3. If you still want the day to be "special," pamper yourself. Get a massage or a pedicure. Get a makeover. Go shopping. Buy yourself some chocolate. Do something that makes you feel good about yourself, and have some fun.

Pretty much do whatever you'd like to do, since Valentine's Day is a man made holiday. Of course if it is man made I believe a man ought to buy you at least candy. Don't fret about it. I buy myself a little candy treat since so much candy is in the stores but actually I do this after the "holiday" when they put everything on sale. Then I treat all my friends and we celebrate all the holidays late, with sale candy. It's fun, and cheaper.

It's a Wednesday, so I plan on doing my usual thing, but maybe I'll make myself a nice dinner and have a bubble bath. Even when I'm not single, I tend to find V-day boring. I hate feeling obligated to dress up and be romantic.

you should take advantage of the time to eat all teh chocolate you want in bed while watching some good movies. Thats what i'd do. And buy some good womens magazines like cosmo, glamour, allure, etc. Take a bubble bath with some music, relax... light some candles.. sounds good to me.

Sorry to hear that you're single. Perhaps you could go out with a friend that's also single.

Send themselves flowers and by themselves chocolate. Or dress up, go to a bar and have a guy buy you drinks all night. it is alot of fun. One year i forgot my bf was just away and that i didn't have one i had dinner with another man and he wanted to date me on a serious level.
