My boyfriend and I argue alot and his brother has came to me and said "I knew about you two's fight, blah blah" nothing more than that though.
I think people realize that couples fight and that's just the way things are. More than likely, nothing will said about it. All couples argue, you just have to realize it's his family's responsibility to look out for him but I'm sure they all realize in a relationship everyone fights.

Yes, hugely! Though to be fair I've never had any big problems with any b/fs family. I think what annoyed me the most was when I did something nice for an ex's sister who then sat there and slagged me off to her whole family. But then she was a silly little moose anyway.
Providing they don't interfer I wouldn't worry too much!! But why would they say things to their family that aren't true? Are they just trying to get their family not to like you??

If you have said some nasty things and you do on the whole like his/her family it probably would and if in the wrong should apologise, own up to what you said and explain it was all in the heat of the moment. However, what concerns me is that after making up, presuming beforehand all was discussed and apparently sorted out that you can still think your partner said untruths about you to his family which haven't been corrected (NOT THAT HE SHOULD HAVE SAID THEM IN THE FIRST PLACE) I would seriously ask yourself where this relationship is going?

There are 3 sides to every story. His side, Her side, and the truth and NEVER does he or she tell the whole truth why would they want to make themselves out to look bad. However it would be more upsetting to me if my husband ran crying to his family over our little spats, though I am sure he told him mom things prior to her death that were not true regarding our arguements but she was grown enough to know that he is her child/friend and that they would NEVER make themselves look to be the one in the wrong. Does it bother me, nope Im to old for that I have more important things on my mind. But I suppose if you've not come to the "i dont give a crap" attitude in life its sure to bother you. Just do right by yourself, your children, your family/friends and your bf/gf who cares what others think

Couples should not discuss the arguments with other family members. Its just dogging the other one behind their back. If they have an opinion on you without hearing your side then they are bias @rseholes, so stuff what they think.

To be honest, It'd irriate me that my boyfriend would have gone running to his family/friends, discussing matters which should be private.
I'd not be bothered what his family/friends think. Its nice to have them like you, but its not the end of the world if they dont.

Personally.... Who cares what other people think of you!! You should not, and perhaps you need to talk to him about stretching the truth to much when he is upset. You face them like you always have, and if they have something to say about, politely tell them that it is not their relationship and to stay out of your love life, and if you felt they needed to know you would talk to them about the situation!! Good Luck and Stand your ground!!
