I remember my Ma watching it when i was a boy did not appeal to me then . But know i quite enjoy the gentle stories its a nice change from the amoral rubbish that fills the tv schedules.

What a great response ! for those who may not know it was based on Earl Hamner JRs own family growing up in Schuler in Nelson County ,West Virginia which is in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Just read the biography of Earl .

yes i remember the waltons. one way to spend a sunday dinner. i think that it makes a change now to look back and see how even with a large family they all stuck together and go through stuff.unlike today and the way kids act without any respect or thought for others.

I used to only watch it because that's what my mother and sisters were watching; at the time I thought it was kinda sappy. Now though, I always seem to catch it when they play it in the mornings, I think on Tvland, and I really enjoy it, although some episodes are still a bit sappy (ie:the one where John-boy sings, it's just too much :p)

Yes I sure do remember the Waltons Goodnight Mary Ellen Goodnight Johnboy. Him from Happy Days who played Ritchie Cunnigham was in it too.

Sure do! Love the reruns too! Along with Little House On The Prarie. Everyone else is right. Those are way better than alot of show today.

We used to watch Little House On The Prarie and then they stopped showing that and then put The Waltons on instead. Oh how I loved Sunday mornings. Ahhhhhh

I loved the Waltons, I wanted to marry John Boy and found my first chicken pox spot while watching it when i was 6.
