well, for starters i am a total soap opera addict. i watch all of the ones on abc, days of our lives (which by the way is getting a little on the ridculous side) and ever since it started coming on soapnet, The Young and The Restless. I love the show and know very little on the backgrounds of the charcters. Unlike the abc soaps i can't seem to find anywhere where it gives this info.

I used to LOVE the Y&R. I can't watch it anymore, but I was watching when Dru's character was introduced. Here is what I remember about her...
When Drucilla first came on the scene, she was a pickpocket. She'd grown up in the streets and dropped out of school. She was caught trying to pick the pocket of one of the Abbotts (either John or Jack). Going along the storyline cliche of the rich white guy with the bleeding heart keeps her out of jail and tries to help her, the Abbotts took her home with them where she came face to face with her aunt. At the time Aunt Mamie worked for the Abbotts. (I'm not sure if she's on the show anymore). So, Dru lived in the guest house and I'm not sure what she did as far as earning her keep. I think she had odd jobs in the city or something. Lo and behold, guess who comes to town?! Olivia. Olivia is a doctor and happens to be Dru's older sister. Dru had always resented her b/c she made something of her life and was quite successful. Being reunited after so many years, there were still a lot of bitter feelings going both ways. Olivia was disappointed in her sister...Dru had put their parents through grief, etc. etc. They got over it and I don't really remember how it happened, but Dru got into modeling at Jabot. Her career took off. She married Neil, had Lilly and that's about all I remember.

Drucilla was a drop out/runaway rescued by Paul's partner, Nathan. After rescuing her, he found she couldn't read. He got her help, found out she like dance, she got into ballet, then modeling, along the way, her sister moved to G/C and wound up marrying Nathan, who then cheated on her with a chick who was HIV positive. The sister divorced Nathan, while Dru was hooking up with Neil (lots of people thought she should have been with Nathan). Since that time, she seems to have educated herself, because she is not the same little street kid that started on the show. By the way - their mother was NUTS, so there is some insanity in the family. Haven't watch Y&R for a few years, so don't know if Dru is crazy now or not.

well drucilla quit school and she was a runaway when the guy that used to work with paul his name was Nathial found her walking the streets and got her off of them he made sure she finished high school and then she became a model for jabot cosmetics (the abbotts company ) . Nathial later died after being hit by a car . He was also married to dru's sister Olivia the dr. sorry that is all I can remember .
