nicely out of those you indexed, i'd say both the tube or the plastic sled. Tubes are low priced, and once you land in case you flow off of a bounce or some thing, you've extra cushion. although they're frequently more durable to live on. Plastic sleds are low priced, and sturdy, so in case you run right into a tree or some thing it wont pop. Plus they're more convenient to regulate and steer. they're only variety of demanding to land on. I bruise my tail bone each and every time i exploit one, yet its relaxing.

WD-40 works brilliantly, but it might be really hard for your son to stop the sled once it gets going on its greased-up bottom. Just make sure he's not sledding anywhere with a lot of trees or a body of water that he might fall into.

Some type of oil. I recommend baby oil. It gets messy though so maybe you're better off using a non-stick spray like PAM. It's easier to apply and won't get all over you like baby oil.
Also, you can go to a PacSun store and get ski or surfboard wax.

Parrafin canning wax works wonders. can be bought at local supermarket.

might work?
