i'm writing a story, and i was wondering if anyone has any good names.

When I'm looking for names for characters, I use baby name books, especially the ones that give the meanings of the name. I think about who my character is and what I want them to represent, and then I look through a baby name book to find a name that suits them according to how the name sounds and what it means. You can also find baby name lists, with meanings, on the web.

You might want to pick up The Character Naming Sourcebook. It lists thousands of names by nationality and ethnicity. It also provides information on how other cultures construct their names. I have always found it incredibly useful to insure my characters' names match their personalities.

you can start aphabetically
ablert, april. bob. bessie.
charlie.christine,dennis. desimona,edwin. eunice,fred, francine,
gabriel, gloria,howard, hope, igggy, irene,james, juliet........... and the list goes on, for lands' sake use a book of baby names.
