Toshiba Satellite Notebook with Intel Centrino Duo Mobile Technology

I'm not sure as to which is a better deal (if there is a huge difference b/t the AMD 64 X2 and the Core 2 Duo, b/t the Nvidia Geforce Go 6150 and the Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 950, if the high-def screen on the HP is worth it, etc.)

Both fit within my budget so the extra $50 for the HP is not a problem, I'm just curious as to which is the better laptop overall.

I really appreciate any help! Thank you in advance!

EDIT: Notice that the Toshiba also has more expandable RAM (up to 4 GB instead of 2 GB for the HP) and a larger hard drive (160 GB as opposed to 120 GB for the HP). Is the consensus still to go with the HP?

Both machines are pretty good deals. If you are really going to be using that larger HD, with music or movies, that should be your determining factor.

If you really think you are going to require the additional 2GB space, consider that, but really don't not make that much of a difference if you are not making that purchase with the extra RAM. Expandability is good if you intend to use it.

If you are not getting free shipping on that order, you can get the link at http://www.24houredeals.com/bestbuy-coupons-27-mer.html

Good luck.

I'd go with the HP. I've had bad luck with any Toshiba as well other folks that I know also have had bad luck with Toshibas...From bad disk drive, battery, screen pixelations, etc.

if you're not into gaming either setup would be fine, small performance dfferences but nothing really noticable for everyday computing. the hi-def screen will make watching moves more enjoyable so that would probably be your best bet. but neither of those pc's are good for any newer games if that's what you're looking for.
