I don't believe very many things I'm told - even really simple, straightforward things. On the Yahoo Homepage, there is a photograph of what's been dubbed an "eternal embrace". I have two feelings about this: 1. How is it eternal if they will eventually decompose? 2. I'll bet that picture is fake; it came out way too close to Valentine's Day.

Am I too skeptical?

I don't think you have a problem at all. I used to be gullible and would believe almost anything. I was stupid and since I had no reason to lie, I figured others didn't either. But now I am much more cynical. I rarely believe anything unless I have proof. I can't stand all the studies everyone reports either. You can make anything the #1 killer of people, a race, an age group, just by concentrating on a certain area or including variables that will sway the outcome to the conclusion you want it to be. We live in a world whose main concern is to make money. So we are bombarded with falsified reports to make those who creating them more money. And you are right, the photograph did come way too close to Valentine's Day. I guess they are planning on having a banner year on chocolate and roses this year.

You're probably right my cyber friend. Fake or not, I'm just a humble bartender and cannot tell you that. But definitely, they found this months ago and held onto it until now. More than likely, it's just two slaves that had to share the same bed when a volcano went off and they were embedded in ash for a few thousand years.

But who knows? the idea is a sweet one that these two people in love spent their last minutes in each others arms. I know if I had to go, I'd like to go like that.

Good question.... and very possible I suppose.
But I am a long time sufferer of "Cinderella Syndrome"
I always want to believe in that one special someone...that knight in shining Armour. I thought the very idea of the "eternal embrace" was sooo very sweet!
And think about it ... what a way to go!

It may just be in your personality, or have alot of people given you reasons to not trust them? You might be skeptical because of a fear of being humiliated if you're wrong.
