Both gorilla and chimpanzee belong to the same order - PRIMATES (apes) . But there is a lot of difference between the two of them . Firstly , gorilla is the largest ape , much larger than the chimpanzee however chimpanzee is the most intelligent ape and the closest relative of men . Secondly , chimpanzees are harmless but gorilla is very dangerous . Thirdly , chimpanzees are expert tree climbers but spend much time on the ground whereas gorillas always travel in small groups led by a male . finally , chimpanzees eat fruits , plant shoots and bird's eggs whereas gorillas eat bark and roots found in the jungles .

Did you know... "the testicles of the chimpanzee are 16 times as large as those of the gorilla? That the chimp has sex 100 times as often as the gorilla? And that the bonobo, the pygmy chimp, has 10 times as much sex as its larger cousin and hence 1,000 times as much as the gorilla?"
Gorillas and Chimpanzees are two altogether different species of apes, Gorillas are much larger and heavier. They also have different behaviors and social structures. Just search on Yahoo! you will find plenty of resources on both.

gorillas are much much larger members of the primate family, and are generally loving and peaceful. chimpanzees are the closest primate relative to humans, and share many of our bad qualities - they are very violent and aggressive, they will attack and kill one another, and are one of the few meat eaters of the apes.

They are two different kinds of animals. Unlike dogs where there is a great diversity of appearance amongst dogs it is possible for two animals to be similar in appearance and yet not be able to interbreed.
