"For Whom the Bell Tolls" is pure genius. "The Sun Also Rises" and "The Snows of Kilimanjaro" are also very good. I can certainly see why Hemingway is more popular with men than with women.
Immortals of literature? I do not know, that is a matter of opinion.

Of all his works, my favorite is The Old Man and the Sea. I have read it numerous times as I can identify with his character. I consider Hemingway an excellent writer. Immortal? No.

I have read Ernest Hemingway in high school and then again in college, there are a good page or sentence in his stories, but I find him rather boring, and his opinion of women is not very high.

Ive read many books my Hemingway, and he is a pompous jerk.
I don't like him and i don't think he is among the immortals of writing because he makes males hard and stubborned never understanding the Truth of anything but what is in his best opinion of what is a man.
