I'm 12 weeks pg. I'm ready to find out the sex of my baby. How far along do you have to be to find out?

U can find out as soon as 14 weeks *although it will be very hard to see still,but if u get a good enough look u can tell* I found out the sex of my most recent at 14 weeks and then confirmed it again at 20 weeks u/s...Most doctors like to wait though until u are at least 16 weeks and up but its usually done between 18-20...boys are easier to read when using u/s to find out the sex because boys have such detailed parts...U dont have too much further to go..im 15 weeks and gonna find out in march,i cannot wait either!! Sonogram by 18- 20 week, amniocentesis earlier then that around 15 weeks is when they like to do those but there are risks so generally women older then 35 get them routinely or if your AFP test comes back elevated or abnormal.....
I have had a sonogram and doctor reading it tell me I was having a boy when it turned out to be a girl so it is not fullproof! My baby girl had to wear boys colors for the first few months of life because everyone bought me boy stuff at my shower lol Amniocentesis is about 100% though so if they tell you the sex after that they are sure....

Some people find out when they are about 14 weeks however, at htat point they are not very accurate so tehy like to wit until about 20 weeks to do an ultrasound. i was about 15 1/2 weeks when i had mine and htey couldn't tell. i am now 27 1/2 weeks ans still don't know but i am finding out next friday!

usually its around 20 weeks, they will do an ultrasound and usually tell you the sex of the baby. I think the earliest would be about 16 weeks, but the further along you are the better. Congrats!

I'm 18 weeks and i just found out that i'm having a boy. the longer you wait the better the answer. But between 18-22 weeks are the best to find out.

It is standard to look for the sex of the baby during the standard last ultrasound. They are only 15% accurate, but it depends on the radiologist and position of the baby at the time of the ultrasound.

I have my ultrasound appointment on March 15 i will b 18 weeks almost 19 weeks then

Well if baby cooperates you could find out at 18 wks. But to be safe I would wait til about 20wks. Sometimes little girls look like boys early in the pregnancy. I wish you luck and hope things go by fast.

Best around 20 weeks. As long as the little bugger is in position. They couldn't tell at the first ultrasound (at about 15/16 weeks) for both my pregnancies!!

Typically 17-20 weeks you will find out by ultrasound. 20 weeks +
are better.
