The wikipedia link is a good source.
Divide your project into these sections: 1/ members and early career 2/ Beatlemania and their success in America 3/ the end of touring and their studio albums (psychedelia) 4/ the break up 5/ a little about their solo careers.
Good luck with the topic - and don't worry, no-one's too young (or old) to like the Beatles!

Somewhere, at the beginning or the end, perhaps to sum up your article, you'll write about love. The love that 4 guys had towards each other, and the love they carried for the music they played. The fact that they loved to write their own songs made other bands write their own songs as well. They loved to experience new things, like sounds, guitar riffs, harmonies, and then they loved to put them all together in songs, but only because they loved doing things differently than anyone else. They loved people and artists of every genre, and because of this, much of the 60's style and culture was directly attributed to everything Beatles.
They sang about love in one way or another, from their first song, Love Me Do to their last song and the last verse which went, "The love you take is equal to the love you make" and it was everywhere in between.
So, write about love, because as John Lennon sang, All you need is love.Thats what started The Beatles and ultimetly with John falling in love with Yoko, Paul with Linda, George with the Indian culture, and Ringo with freedom, they ended it with love as well.

Why not compare and contrast them to a modern-day boyband? Consider what effect they both have had on popular culture (did they just fit into it or did they help define it?)
A hint for looking at the Beatles is the various stages they went through (the early years through to the Indian influences and the final album Let It Be).
Consider all the musicians that name-check the Beatles as their influence.
This should prove an interesting take on it and also bring the relevance of popular culture today into it.
And start by listening to their albums, covering the length of their career.
Good luck, hope that helps!

Many people have claimed the title of the Fifth beatle
That would make a good paper and determine who truly merits the title.
Pete Best
Murray the K
George martin
Tony Sheridan
(These are a few)

You could write about a zillion things. I would look at wikipedia for starters and narrow it down to a smaller topic about them. For instance compare how their music changed over time and what the cause was for this change. You could also look at their introduction to America, and how they were received, etc. The possibilities are endless!

Speculate on what music today would be like if they'd never been around.
Or write about how they killed surf music.
