my friend might be gay and we are both 16..i am gay curious...like i have said before...would kissing him (french) be a good thing..like a surprise kiss? or would it be bad?

I think it really depends on a situation. I remember when I was 16 and thought I may be gay - every cute guy I had a crush on seemed to be gay curious to me. I think it's just natural to try to imagine that our object of attraction will be responsive to our feelings.
If this guy has NO clue that you like him more than just a friend, then a sudden kiss could throw him off and in fact cause more harm than good. But if somehow he gives you mixed signals and say one day you find yourselves in an intimate setting (which I think is important here), then you may give it a try.
