How can I find out the median of a table that has frequency ( Numbers on top ) and marks ( Numbers under the frequency )...suppose there are 5 numbers on top in a table and 5 numbers under them also in the same table so how can i find the median of those ? Thankyou .

The median is that number which separates the higher value numbers from the lower value numbers when they are arranged in ascending order. If the sample contains an odd count of numbers, it's the middle value. If the sample has an even count of numbers, it's usually the mean of the middle two.

It's the middle number (exclude all the highs and lows)
Frequency Number
5 1
2 4
1 5
3 2

so you would end up with
11111 222 44 5 and the median would be 2 afetr you exclude
1&5, 1&4 1&4 1&2 etc..
