Let me try to help you. I am on day 38. I did a little research before quitting, nicotine effects the dopamine receptors in your brain. It takes 90-96 hours for the nicotine to get out of your system. I figured I could tough it out...and I did. It was tough though, I felt light headed and dizzy, I felt anxiety, after the 96 hours passed it got better. I used no nicotine substitute. Do something to make yourself breathe too, i use Nordic trak, you need to do something to make you breathe deeply for 30 minute a day. This will change your metabolism and keep you from putting on weight. You will be amazed how good food will taste, and how much more intense smells will become....be tough for the 1st 96 hours...you only have 90 to go now...you can do it :)

I tried to quit, I gave up on it. I couldnt used the replacements either. I did find that eating crunchy food helps, like carrots and crackers, etc. and chewing regular gum. Drink lots of water and find stuff to do to keep you very busy so you dont think about wanting a cigarette. I was doing fine until I got around my co-workers who smoke. I just couldnt take it. So try to stay away from other smokes as much as possible. I know it's hard, but I wish you the best of luck!

To all people who are trying to quit. If I did (9 years), you can too. Wellbutrin was mentioned and I was on that. I was also on patch. Gum. Go to places where you are not allowed to smoke anyway. When you are on the patch it's very dangerous to smoke so I would suggest that. GOOD LUCK, KEEP GOING.

Get snacks - healthy ones. Like carrots, near the computer. That helps. Also, gum. Be stronger than the cigarette. You can do it.
