And for that matter, why wont a single Democrat stand up and tell Bush to? 90 Republicans are standing firm and telling him to pardon the 2 agents (who were arrested illegaly, and one was beaten close to death 2 days ago in jail). Its a travesty of justice!

He won't pardon them because he and his puppetmasters want to send a loud and clear message to border patrol agents:

"Do not prevent cheap labor from entering our country or you will be beaten, tortured and put to death."

Democratic leaders should be ashamed of themselves for not doing anything.

Because they're criminals. Pardons are supposed to given to people who can make a good case for their innocence after conviction, which those two border patrol guys can't do. What about all of the child molesters, murderers, and rapists who get beaten close to death in prison -- should those criminals get pardoned because they were beaten, too?

How is imprisoning a "bad cop" a travesty of justice?

WOW! Finally, republicans fighting for the rights of the accused! Bravo! As far as dems standing up and sayiong something, I believe they are still waiting to have that pesky little debate over the Iraq war that was derailed by the reps yesterday. I think once that is done, maybe the reps can ask for their turn...BTW, how would you feel about those guards being thrwon into jail without charge or trial, indefinitely? Probably pretty bad, since you want them pardoned without even seeing a trial for the evidence to be presented. You guys sure are funny...see that's the problem with suspending habeas corpus, and other circumvention of the constitution....you simply can't guarantee that it will only happen to the bad guys.

The reason Bush won't pardon them is because he supports the guest worker program. I'm guessing he will pardon these men right before he leaves office in 09. As for the democrats, i have no idea who is supporting it or who isn't. I refuse to take your word that there aren't any who don't. support a pardon.

There is an actual process. Does anyone know if any of the paperwork has been filed with the Office of the President? If not their lawyers need to be replaced.

Keeping them in jail is a travesty not just of justice but of humanity. They did nothing wrong.

Oh Really. I didn't know there were 90 republicans left in congress. And why should Bush start doing the right thing now? He hasn't so far.

Has anything Bush has done the last few years make any sense? This man is a few bricks short of a load. He must not be able to get ahold of Cheney or his dad to tell him what to really do. I think it's a travesty. We need to get him out of office!

Probably because they don't deserve a pardon.
