When I was 14 I was completely in love with a man that was 26.He never disrespected me or spoke to me as more than what I was, a child he wanted to protect. YES,there was an odd attraction, but I knew I couldn't have him and that it would be ILLEGAL for anything to happen, and he was also well aware of the consequences if anything happened. So we just talked and then we lost touch and that was that.I never forgot him and always admired him for not taking advantage of me when it would have been so easy to.10 years later, at 24 I bumped into him again and sparks flew! This time it was no longer ILLEGAL and we got together.Point is if something is meant to be, it will be, but for things to work out they have to be RIGHT and LEGAL.Right now is NOT the right time for you and him.You are a child, and he is a man, and you both need to behave as such. If he's a real man, and good guy, he'll leave you alone to finish growing up. And if you're smart you'll let it go and focus on developing into a great woman. If life means for you two to be together, it will set it up at the right time for you. Whatever you do, NEVER be fooled into being anyone's victim. BE SMART.

You may love him but you are in a dangerous situation. Also, he can be charged with statutory rape or child molestation if the authorities find out. You are so young, so enjoy being 14 and leave this 21 yr old man alone. It's for your safety and in your best interest!

At the risk of sounding patronizing, you're 14, you don't know better right now -but you will- he's 21...he should know better right now.

There's a huge mentality difference between those 2 ages. I can't tell you how it is but you will find out when you reach 21 and maybe it will give you a different insight

the reality of this situation is that no matter if you really think you love him or whatever - it is legally wrong and he will be prosecuted. The law doesn't ask if a 14 wants to have a relationship with someone 'of age'.
The police will most certainly charge him wether you want them to or not, no questions asked, so you need to end it...
plus, at 14 do you really know what love is? I didn't.....

First of all, you are a child and this man is a grown up. End this relationship now because it is illegal and he can serve time. I would have to wonder what is the mental capacity of a 21 year that would even consider dating a child knowing that he could service jail as a child sex offender and have record.

If you don't want to understand or accept any sound advice, just listen to one thing. He is an adult who has no concern for your safety nor his. He can go to jail as soon as someone has the nerve to report him to the authorities. You are well underage and have been guided by your romantically inclined youthful views to commit your first serious misjudgment! Everything is possible through the eyes of a teen aged girl but believe me, legal and social reality makes what you are subjecting yourself to totally unacceptable.

You are way too young to be dating a 21 year old. He is weird for dating you if I were your parents I would have him thrown in jail. You should break it off before they do.

Well for starters, you parents can have him arrested. another thing you are still in high school. I'm sure there are guys your age, who want to go out with you. i'm sure you will find plenty of guys to be with before you leave high school. give it a try. and let the man be. Sure hes going to be as nice as he can, to you. if he is getting any, hes going to keep being nice. tell him no more sex, (if you are giving him any) and see what happens.

What he is doing is against the law. What do you know about love at only 14? I hope that you have not had sex with this man because that is considered rape.
