I've been talking to this one guy in my family who im some how related to. He's 38 years old, and he just got out of prison. Im only 16. My family doesn't want me talking to him, but they don't know that i am. He's REALLY hott. Maybe polls and surveys is the wrong place to be asking this question, but what is your opinion on the situation?

What was he in prison for? The age difference bothers me-why is a 38 year old man so interested in a 16 year old? If he isn't careful, he'll be going back to the pokey and you may have memories that you don't want. You must have your doubts of you wouldn't have asked. Listen to your instincts!

Absolutely. You are a minor. That is statuatory rape if you get involved with him. The fact that the guy just got out of prison and is 38 shows you what kind of mind he has. He's clearly a pedophile. Stay away from him before you end up in a very painful situation!

He may be hot but personality comes first. If I was you I would talk to him but also stay on guard. Maybe he regrets going to the jail. Another thing is you have got your whole life ahead of you to make decisions so listen to your parents who know what is right with you. Just one thing don't get to emotional with him or tell him too much about yourself. But at the end of the day he is an individual just like everyone else so what is the harm in talking to your fellow human beings. You're mature enough you should know about it.

use ur mind girl,ur young, and u don't know what love is yet, but u will, i know , u know that old saying been there, done that, bought the t-shirt,i got married at 16 in the same situation, BIG mistake,HUGE, don't do it babe, u will eventually regret it, i know, i am now a single mom of 3 kids, u got ur whole life a head of u, get an education, i now wished i did. Sighing here - AH to be 16 and without clue again. No, dear heart, you should NOT continue talking to this GROWN man...hot or not...and his prison experience if just ONE of the reasons. His age is MUCH TOO MUCH advanced for you!
Focus on your friends/peers; school and try listening to your parents for a change...that's what parents are for, to guide you in the ways that are right for your safety and growth into a mature, happy young woman.

You're 16; he's 38-that alone is wrong but when you add in that you're related and he's an ex-con-RUN!!! Honey, listen to your parents; and everyone else who tells you that this is wrong on so many levels. The majority is never wrong.

first of all what was he in prison for......ur only 16 and should be looking at boys ur own age.......i dont understand what young girls see in older men.......i had a friend who dated a man who was about the same age difference and all he did was try to take control of the relationship.......u really dont want to get involved with a man who just got out of prison and whos old enough to be ur daddy

Honey, he's twice your age, has a record, and somewhat related to you, how much more do you need to realize that this is a really bad move.

If he is 38 and you are 16, there is one reason and one reason only that he would be interested in you.
Find someone your own age. There is a reason he was in jail....stay clear....
PLUS...your related to him? Sweetie, find a boy your age or at least in your age range....16-19.....
