How do I put a password on internet explorer on Internet explorer 6?

I want to keep people from getting on the internet with it and force them to use AOL. how do I do that?

Whats your OS? If it's NT, 2000 or XP you should be able to set the permissions on the file. Remove everyone from the list and any users except administrators or the administrators group. I do it here to lock out certain system functions from others.

Right click goto Properties > Security and you see a list of who is allowed access to the file.

You can't password protect Internet Explorer, but you can activate the content adviser and set it to require a password to all but the tamest of locations.

Follow the two links below to setup the content adviser. This works in Internet Explorer 6 and 7.

When you set the password, make it difficult to guess but easy enough to remember.

When you want to use Internet Explorer yourself, you will need to disable the content adviser. You need the password to do this. Don't forget to enable the content adviser when you are finished.
