If your last period started on Jan. 4 then:
Estimated Due Date: Thursday, October 11, 2007
You are in week 5 of your pregnancy.
My OB wouldn't see me until I was about 8 weeks.

The first comment sound right to me, your not very far along at all. Since you had some blood work done and everything is looking good i wouldn't rush to the doc. Go buy some prenatal vitamins at the store for now. Besides there isn't much they can do at this point anyways, no heart beat until about the 10-12 week. All they can do right now is a pap. I started my prenatal visits when i was 5 weeks along and ended up paying more money. Since my insurance only covers about 40% i ended up paying $1,000 from deductibles. Just for the prenatal appointments. I say look around first and find the right OB before you just pick something. Then make an appointment.

Sounds like your 4 or 5 week along they should ask you the first day of your last period when you call to make the appt, you want to get in asap since this sounds like it's your first pregnancy you will want to get everything checked out and have your questions answered. Any questions you have make sure you write down and take with you so you don't forget. Congratulations and Good Luck!

i would get some suggestions of good OBGYN doctors from your regular doctor, then call and make an appointment. You need to do this right away because you need to get started on prenatal vitamins and they will give you a blood test called Hcg Quantitative this will tell how far along you are. ( i know this because i am a laboratory technician for a hospital) check to see if this was part of the blood work you already had done( note there is a difference between hcq quant and hcg qual, the qualitative just yields a positive or negative, and the quantitative tells how far along) Also you souldnt wait because some doctors wont take you as a new patient if you have not been recieving prenatal care(they feel it is a liability).

hey! congratulations!
seems to me you might be around 3-4 weeks along. some doctors can compute how far along you are. or for a more accurate approximation, you can ask your ob/gyne to request for an ultrasound. USUALLY after your initial doctor's examination and the lab tests done and everything came out normal, you can expect to visit your ob/gyne once a month in the first trimester (about 12 weeks into your pregnancy), twice a month in your 2nd trimester, and once a week in your last stages of pregnancy -- 35th-40th week. but of course your check ups will depend on your condition as seen by your doctor. stay happy!

Most OBG/YN won't even see you until your 8 weeks or more, so you would count from the 4th week of najuary until now, that would make you, perhaps, 4 or 5 months pregnant? Usually you can call and say "I think i may be pregnant, I took a home test" and they will bring you in and test you. There really isn't any need for them to check you until 8 weeks along. Then shortly after that they check the hearbeat and blood again. Don't worry, your baby will be just fine! Your PREGNANT! Enjoy it! And good luck at your next appointment!!! I'm 9 weeks pregnant right now myself!

Most ob/gyn like to see you around 6-8 weeks of pregnancy...it sounds to me like your pbobably about 3.5 -4 weeks along...i would say make one for about 3 - 4 weeks and you should be good. By the way congrats and good luck

Usually the best way to tell is your last period. So you should have your first appointment around or after your second missed period. That way it takes out all of the guess work on how far along you are.

You are probably not very far along. If you had your period Jan 4, you would have ovulated around Jan 17 or 18. You're only 2-3 weeks along.

I would guess 2-3 weeks and when u call the OB just tell em the same thing u just told us and they will make an Apt. for about 8 weeks. Thats when they see you if you havn't had ne problems if you have had repeat miscarriages then they may wanna see you sooner and after ur 8 week apt they will see ya every 4 weeks. then it moves up from there. G/L and CONGRATS!!
