Germo'na is definitely a unique name. I sense people have trouble saying it. Although unique isn't always a good thing, this isn't as out there as some names I've seen. I think it separates you from everyone else. Overall, I don't think its that bad.

It is really your decision but why would you want to give her your name. That is your name. Give her a different name that will be just hers. There's so many unique but yet precious names.
On this site www.thinkbabynames.com/search/1/arabic they have arabic names if you want to keep within the Arabic origin like yours. See if there is something you like there.
Have fun whatever you decide. Most importantly is that you have a healthy baby. God Bless you!

I think it's lovely. As your child gets older, people will naturally be comfortable asking about the origins of names and it will be a great ice breaker. Also, the meaning is very nice as well. Teach your child to be confident with it, and they will grow into it.

Plenty of people like to ask me about my name. I am someone with an unusual name, the pronounciation dosen't look like the spelling, and it's never held me back. Mine is Daava - pronounced DAY-vuh.

Yes, unique but not necessarily good. Having an apostrophe in a name makes it difficult to say, spell and remember. Better to simplify it to something more mainstream.

I think that made up names are a burden on whom they are placed upon. Even though ones parents may think that its cool to be so different, usually people will assume things about you based on a made up sounding name and they are not nice assumptions. You can read all about it in "Freakonomics"

I respect that this is your name, but please don't name your child that. I personally think it's a horrible name. I am all for unique names, but the line has to be drawn somewhere. Good Luck.

I like it but it would be easier to pronounce if it was phonetically spelled. And I truthfully don't like the ' in the name. B/c it makes it seem like it should be pronounced jermo like a germ and then nah.
