There are a couple rumors that state otherwise. One is his body was found floating with the others and to save face, the British Government didn’t list him. Another one says he was spotted years later with a changed name. Did England conceal the fact that he didn’t do the heroic deed history states he did? The British Government have covered up far more scandalous events, why not this?

Why is the world insistant on believing that all government wants to do is lie to them?

There are a few cover-ups, conspiracies, and scandals, I'm sure..

That doesn't mean everything you hear is one and what difference does it make now?

If you can't believe in anything good, what kind of life do you live?

Surprisingly little is known about the captain's actions in the last two hours of the ships life. He was last seem in the bridge area having given the final order to abandon ship. He appears to have made no attempt to save himself. His body, if recovered, was never identified.
