Here in the burbs (Walnut Creek) of San Francisco the weather at 7 AM is rather comfortable at 53 degrees and raining. This is the first rain in a month and we need it or we go into a drought. How is your weather? If you are in the mid-west states it is COLD I heard. Also, my balls are nice and warm. LOL!!!!!

We are about to freeze here. It is forecast to be around 70 degrees as a high and sunny. Man I don't know if I can take this any more. I may move closer to the equator. LOL

Tampa, FL

Hey just a historical note to tease your friends with.

Ever heard the old saying "cold enough to freeze the balls off of a brass monkey"? Well a monkey is what they stacked cannon balls on. The iron or steel ones would contract and expand in weather changes, causing the cannon balls to slip and fall off. You see the cannon balls were stacked in the old pyramid formation you see in most depictions, one layer on top of the other. The expansion and contraction of the plate they sat on is what caused them to move and fall. So, they made quite a number of them out of brass, which does not expand or contract. Therefore the expression cold enough......you get it now.
