I have a wedding saturday and the dress I have is Black Lace with a gold underlay fitted to the mid calf..So my questions is, Do I have to wear Panty Hose/Stockings...The problem is that it is 20 degrees out and I think I would look like an idiot if I didnt wear something on my legs, However I NEVER EVER Wear anything on my legs with a dress, but I am pale and its freezing out...Any advice would help...I know this is a petty issue, but still need ssome advice. Thanks!

Well I am a 17 year old who considers herself trendy, and I always wear stockings. They are very sophisticated, and add to any wardrobe, so I don't see why you would brag about avoiding them. Men go crazy over them, and if you stay away from pantyhose, and wear real nylons they are really comfortable and ad finish to any outfit. How can anyone work in a professional office with bare legs? That would be like the guys comic to work with suits and no socks. Get some class and wear stockings, you will look and feel a lot better.

You need to wear stockings not just to this affair, but anytime you are dressed up. You probably spend 1/2 hour on makeup every morning, for your face, and ignore your legs, which are as noticeable if not more so.
How can you brag about being Trendy, when trendy this Fall and Winter is Leg wear. Where have you been? If you don't like pantyhose, wear stockings. That's what I do, they are way more practical, for everyday wear.

Why would you brag about the fact that you never to bother wearing hosiery. Where have you been: Hosiery is the most important fashion accessories available to a woman, and you discount it, even you live in cold weather six months a year. Wear stockings! I agree pantyhose are a problem, but sheer nylon stockings are the most feminine thing any girl could ever wear. Ask the guys. I wear them every day as part of my outfit, as in the professional world, bare leg are considered inappropriate dress, especially in winter.

You need to wear stockings. And why would you never ever wear stockings with a dress? You sound like you are from the farm. I myself, can't stand pantyhose, but sheer stockings are the classiest thing any woman can wear. I would be sent home from my job if I went in bare legged. It is so country. Women wear stockings, Men wear socks. that's what you do when dressed up, you are not in Hollywood, you are in the real world, and need to dress accordingly.

Wear sheer black stockings, and you will look proper. And you would look like an idiot in bare legs in February, just like you have been looking all fall with bare legs. Who told you that was trendy in New York past Labor Day? Legwear has been "in" since the fall. the bare leg look went outwith summer.

Wear stockings for Gods sake. If you are trendy, haven't you heard the new accessorie is Legwear! Bare legs at a dressy event look sloppy,lazy, and cheap looking, and I don't get why you brag about it!

What shoes will you be wearing? I would probably wear black hose ~ or find a full-length coat to wear! That could look very nice, and solve your issue both ways!

If it's cold, yes wear them.The support hose are the warmest to wear.Stay warm and have fun......I bet you wear chandelier earrings too.I wish I could.....

Use some fake tan and go with bare legs. You will look hot no matter how freezing it is!
