It's a dual channel kit by g.skill 2x 1GB DDR2 PC2-5300 667MHz, it went in just fine and it shows up as the full 2gb but it's only at 333MHz, it's on a dell e1505. my bios says it supports up to 667MHz so it's not a compatability issue. any ideas? maybe i got ripped off.

It depends on where you are getting that speed reading from. DDR2 SDRAM is double pumped, meaning it sends data twice per clock cycle. So DDR2 667Mhz actually runs at 333Mhz, but its effective speed is 667Mhz. Some BIOS list it at its actual speed, others list it as its double pumped speed. I would suggest downloading this program to verify the speed:http://www.cpuid.com/cpuz.php
By the way this program will list its actual speed, so if it says 333Mhz, your RAM is running at the right speed.

This is because you are using windows 32-bit. Install a 64-bit OS to use all of the memory.

You're not looking at memory speed, you're looking at FSB speed. The memory runs at twice the speed of the front side bus.

Memory speed depends on the motherboard and its speed.
If your MB supports that speed, you may have to tweak the BIOS.
