A little of both, I think. You won't get close enough to someone whos looks repel you to get to know their character, and you won't fall in love with a good-looking idiot once you get to know them. There needs to be an initial attraction by looks - but that doesn't equal love.

Well i personally think its stupid do decide anything about a person by how they look. the reason that i love my girlfriend is because she is the most amazing person ihave ever met and we get along so well. i put nothing on looks if someone is the hotest person in the world and the biggest biatch would you date her??? i wouldnt. i would prefer someone of average looks who i can relate to and who is good for me.

ur freind is just dumb obviously he has no idea what its like to be in love. its about their personality and somewhat on looks. i cant really explain it considering ive never been in love (then again im only 15) but just ask someone is is or has been in love on what its like thats might give you a better understanding of it.
