Wow, classroom conflicts are universal. My daughter and son in America have experienced the same problems with some of their teachers who have seemed to single them out and make examples of them in class. It made them uncomfortable and embarrassed also. Had I been in my children's lives more and closer to where they lived, I would have demanded a conference with the teacher and as a parent would have tried to find the root of what is making my children feel uncomfortable. However, I am divorced and did not live in my children's city, so I told my children that a way to impress a teacher is to be silent until called upon, and then be right with a correct answer. Some teachers will be intimidated by students who are intelligent and can only save their inadequacy as a teacher by embarrassing the student in front of their peers as seems to be the case with you. I would inform your parents, but if this is a "teacher is always right" case, then I would bear with it and avoid conflict with the teacher until you move on in time to another class and different teacher. You must remember, as I told my kids, secondary school does not really matter in your life, it does some, but college and university study is where you are mature and your peers are also. You will find that professors are much more intelligent and it is a much more mature atmosphere in college. So to answer your question, I would inform your parents and see if they will address the problem with the school teacher if he is a major threat to you. However, if this is just a passing irritation for you, think for the future and better settings that await you.

You should talk to your school principal about it
