I think you are just kidding cos you must have elderly relatives Grand parents ?
Elderly people have more right to act as if they own the place than anyone else
The hardship etc they have been through
They have earned our respect now we should treat them with respect

The average age of millionaires in the US is 65 yrs old, so they probably do.
The older you get, the more you know, and the less the young listen
Personally I sometimes think that the whole place is run by 12 years olds

Well considering they probably saw their friends and loved ones blown to bits in WW2, and were fighting for this country, i don't think it's a big problem if they can be occasionally pompous or crochety. Most of them have earned it - I would rather hear complaints from them than someone like George Galloway or Jade Goody!
