Yes, I have a set on my porsche 928, some ventus series 225-40-18's and they are great gripping tires. Hankook is becoming an OEM car tire, so they must meet certain standards.

Kumbo or Nitto seems to be the best performance tire for the money, with a more established reputation. For trucks, you could pay alittle more and go with Pep Boys Futura all terrain or mud tire, but I wouldn't recommend paying BFG prices, your just paying for the name.

Just do some research on tires.com and tirerack.com before you come to a conclusion on what tires you want in the future, those sites both have user ratings and reviews which are extremely helpful.

Just put a new set on a Ford Flex. To say they are noisy would be an understatement. Going back to dealer to figure out how this much noise is possible.

They are Korean tires. I'm pretty sure Hankook translates to "Korea" or "Korean"
