Snowed in??I know all about that.I live in NE Ohio,USA,and we currently have 3 feet of snow on the ground, lost power 2 days ago due to ice on the lines for 5 hours, and the temperature at this moment is -12 Celsius. My children had 2 'snow days' off of school. So,basically I am an expert at this question:)
Just make sure you have enough staples...milk,bread,cereal,tp,etc...and do not panic.Remember--it will not be as bad as Minnesota. And somehow,my friend up there survives!

well if we know its only going to be till monday I would indulge myself a bit and enjoy being stuck in. I'd get a big bar of dairy milk, nice bread cos I love toast and I might spend some time cooking as I'd be in all weekend so I'd get ingredients to make some thai food, a green curry and some spicy crab cakes. But, if the predictions were that we would be snowed in much longer I'd start thinking more practically and grab the most nutritional foods i could elbow my way to, so its got to be a few doezen tins of baked beans!

Bread and milk always seem to be the first things to disappear from the super markets at the slightest suggestion of snow and, somewhat bizarrely, an impending bank holiday. Heaven help the UK if we ever do get another white christmas!

Oh God, why does this country fall apart at the first bit of snow, it's not like we've never had it before.
having said that i will be stocking up on lots and lots of chocolate!
not as daft as it sounds as its good food for giving you energy, you should always have some in your car in case you get snowed in somewhere (and if you don't get snowed in you can still eat it!!)

Milk, bread, Peanut Butter, and a new propane tank.
If you have plenty of food in the pantry. The tank is a precaution in case the power goes out that way you still have a way to cook things.

nothing , most people have enough in store to last at least a week (without going sparingly) they get caught up in all the hype and follow suit !!! (a pair of snow shoes maybe ,so i could still get out for some fresh air) but i could find something to make them with here ?

I live in N.C. When we have bad weather I always like to have the norm. like eggs, milk, bread, etc. I also make sure if the power goes out I have back up supplies like candles, kerosene, flash lights etc. I also make sure my car is full of gas.
