i am a 46 yr old woman ,and havent had a period in over 1 and a half years,i thought i was menopausal.i was obese and have now lost a stone in weight and my period has returned .should i be concerned after all this time?help please.

being overweight can cause you to have abnormal periods or no period. Now that you've lost weight, your body is trying to get back to normal. Keep up the good work!

Maybe it stopped for good. I think some women might stop getting there period in there mid 40s or late 40s. Yes, I think you should go see a doctor soon.

You need to go to your doctor and have a hormone level done. I think it is a FSH level. That will tell you if you are menopausal or not. If you are not up to date with your PAP they will also do one. You really need to go because this does sound abnormal
