Fight between tamilians and Kannadigas(People of Karnataka) is an age old problem. We can trace the roots of discord to the pre independence times when predominantly Tamilian soldiers fighting under the British officers as part of Madras Native Infantry battallions actually fought bitter wars with the Mysore Army during the period of Tipu Sultan. The seeds were sown then. During the last twenty odd years, another major psychological and political battle has been waging between the two states, that is the problem of sharing of the waters of River Cauvery. Tamil Nadu claims that being the lower reparian state, it has been given a raw deal as regards the quantum of water being released by Karnataka (being the upper reparian state) for years, where as this river is the only source and lifeline of thousands of farmers of Tamil Nadu. On 05 Feb 2007, the Cauvery Tribunal has given a final verdict, after hearing of the case for 16 long years , in which, it has laid out clearly as to the quantum of water share of each of the states falling under the Cauvery basin including Kerala and Puducheri. Tamil nadu is happy about the decision while Karnataka and Kerala feel that they have been given a raw deal. Hence all these protests and backlash in the form of attacking Tamilians in Bangalore.

Tamilians seem to be attacked everywhere. In sri lanka, now in bangalore. I think all their neighbours want to fight with them, may be they love them or they hate them. They don't allow them to exist peacefully.
