well i like this boy who is Pakistani and Muslim, and I am white but i dont think my parents would approve of that because they tell me to stick to my own race but love shouldn't matter when it comes to race, right ? that's what upsets me and this has happened to me before, i tend to like guys that are a different race knowing my parents arent too thrilled with it ( they are very traditional since we are romanian) So i listen to them or just believe in what my heart tells me ? have u ever had the same problem

Well, sounds like you're in a pickle. You need to dig deep, take a deep breath alright..Do you like the guy because you like their personality and charming good looks :). Make sure those are the reasons you like these guys because maybe subtlely you could be doing it to get back at your parents. Many white females date black guys because they were going against the moral ethics of it and in order to get back at their parents. If these are the reasons then I suggest you not date outside your race. You're doing it for the wrong reasons! It sounds like your young which sucks because you are still under their control. Maybe let your parents talk to the guy, you could subtlely drop hints to your parents about how nice he is and how good a of a boy he is. Parents love guys with good grades, polite etc. This can cause a change in their outlooks you know? I am an Asian guy dating a white girl, and when I met her parents they liked me because I get good grades and have good conversation abilities. I hope that your parents change their mind because so much culture is out there! Remember to pursue love, and not pursue lust. :)

It seems as though you have never encountered a situation like this before which explains the discomfort you and your wife feel. Which is normal. However, take into consideration how his parents may feel about their son bringing home a girl of a different race. With that said, keep an open mind and judge him based on his character not his color. Why not invite his parents over to give you a better understanding of the type of person he is. If he is good to your daughter and she is happy then just be supportive.

Love should be blind to race. Because a person is the same race as you doesnt mean they are the best match for you. If you love some other race I say go for it. I think that if your parents see you are in love and happy with this person and that the person is good for you, They will be happy for you.. I say go for it! Follow Your Heart

Pakistani is not a race it is a nationality maybe he considered himself white as well. Maybe you should emind your parent \s of this fact. The term "white" and "black are only determined by the color of your skin. However deoe\pending on your age it will probblybe best to abide by your parents rules until you are of age. I believe that you should be with whom ever makes you happy, however if you are underage this may be a litle hard at this time.

It shouldn't matter a race if you like that person. If a relationship with that person is what you what, your parents should understand that it is what you want and your feelings. You shouldn't let your parents stop you from having a good relationship.

You should not listen to your parents if they are telling you not to date someone who is a differnet race. You should tell them that it doesn't matter what race someone is. It only matters what their personality is like. If you like him, then go for it.

Family isnt always right, You have to be happy,and if hes who you are happy with then GO 4 IT. They arent the ones that have to sleep with him or live with them. They should be happy for you.

its your life, so do what makes you happy, parents arent always going to like their childrens choices but they still love them regardless but its important that youre happy with your choices not everyone else's opinion of it....
