It is never appropriate to meddle in others affairs unless you are asked to do so.

It is not good to meddle. If you want to share your thoughts on good ideas for what and why you think the best solution to something would be is another thing as long as you don't have a do it my way or else attitude.

I know many people who coaxed girls not to go back with their boyfriend or husband and put the guy down (along with the girl)
Then the girl goes back and the only result is that the do good meddler only managed to alienate the two of them.
Often it is best to leave people learn the hard way.

Too, many people mean well and meddle by trying to help people out financially and only enable the one they are helping to only become more wasteful.

No. But we let the Government do it all the dang time, so people think that it's right for them to do so.

You have the right to be safe and secure in your own person, and so does the "other person". For example, if HE chooses to ride a motorcycle without a helmet, you can - if you wish - tell him that you think his choice to do so is wrong. OR you can butt out. But you CANNOT put a helmet on his head and strap it there and then point a gun at him and say - "Wear that, or else". Yet the government does that to you all the time!

But beyond the example, the answer is NO. If they ask for your advice, then you may give it. Otherwise, keep your nose, eyes, and hands to yourself.

I don't think it's ever wise to meddle. Not until you are asked for your opinion.

Not really. People tend to think they know what's best and get offended if someone offers their solution to a problem. If they ask your thoughts or opinions then go ahead and tell them what you think.
