I don't see why everyone is making a big deal about Prince's Superbowl performance. A lot of people are saying his guitar was placed in a suggestive position. Seriously, you should me happy he didn't come out with the pants with his butt out. I love Prince's music and I thought he had an excellent classic "Prince" performance. Why does the media always have to hype up a situation? No one said anything when Elvis was swinging his hips around and it looked like "humping" on the stage. This is how I feel our world is still living in the stone ages. It was ok when "white" Elvis did it, but when "black" Prince does his thing, its a big issue. It's 2007 get it together! Get over the racial ignorance and focus on something else.

Prince is just Prince and you either love him or hate him. Personally, I love him.

JUST A NOTE:
you are too young to know this but when Elvis first hit the scene, he was preached about in churches it was so bad....Rock and roll was from the devil and everyone was going to hell. When he appeared in Ed Sullivan, Ed said he would never have him back....they showed him from the waist up and no one watching the TV saw his hips. It was way worse then today.....Prince is okay...it wasn't that big a deal, but you are wrong about Elvis and it has nothing to do with race. Don't always assume race is an issue, it muddies the water for when race really is the issue.

Suggestive position!?!? You should have seen the "suggestive" positions when he played in the movie, Purple Rain!

And actually, people did say a lot when Elvis was swinging his hips around. When he appreared on network TV for the first time (The Ed Sullivan Show) the cameramen were told to keep the cameras aimed well above his waist.

because it was absalutley horrible. Plus when the sheet went up everyone at our party laughed at the images prince made of himself. Its not a racial issue, it is just that when Elvis was around it wasn't such a big deal as now. It's kind of like a time and year issue.

I agree with you, however it would be incorrect to assume that elvis did not get a similar reception. In fact the music of Elvis was seen as quite scandalous in his early times, surely the suggestive movements must have helped this.

properly... it really is what the "massive deal" is... each body would not see it like you and that i do... truly, prevalent managers have hardly ever employed any black coaches because apparently they both did not imagine they could coach, or they were racist? I mean... it really is taken 40 some years for one black coach to make it to the tremendous bowl... why is that? if we are all purely people... odds are it ought to have occurred previous to now and there ought to were a lengthy historic past of many NFL black coaches... yet it truly is not the case in any respect? the easy reality is... colour of epidermis obviously has mattered to many contained in the previous... this tells all those those that it shouldn't count number any better... it truly is precisely why it does count number... because it PROVES epidermis colour would not count number! really, it really is like a huge "you and that i are proper and they are incorrect... and they gained't have universal it in the previous"
