New Zealand for both. New Zealand has some of the best hiking in the world (be sure to book well in advance to do some of the really popular hikes, like the Greenstone though), and includes "The best one day hike in the world" called the Tongariro Crossing through Tongariro National Park (also known as The Misty Mountains from The Lord of the Rings Trilogy). It also has over a thousand miles of beaching, with plenty of diving, snorkeling, and whale watching opportunities. In short- its everything you are looking for and then some!

Check out Sabah, Borneo.

Hiking up Mount Kinabalu and amazing diving at the Sipadan Marine park.

Spectacular location, beautiful jungle and stunning beaches with marine life a plenty. If you head over around March-April you might be lucky enough to catch the whale shark migration - we were told the resort at Lankayan is best for whale sharks but not much else. Diving near Sipadan is great for turtles, sharks, reef fish and muck diving.

Anywhere is good in Greece. The water is warm and clear with some wrecks about. The marine life is fantastic. I was in Sidari in Corfu but am only a scuba beginner so only went down 15 feet on my first dive. There was another bloke I met who did a 60 foot dive and said it was great

Southeast Missouri. Bonne Terre has a manmade cavern (mine) that is now filled with water and open for diving tours. They call it the Billion Gallon Lake. You'll also find many state parks in the region for hiking.

If you have the means - go to Bon Aire.

Best diving in the world. Even better than the Great Barrier Reef (in my opinion).

Mike will take you to Klein Bon Aire for a dive for about 50 Guilders or so.........
